Troop 11 in Nashville, TN
As one of the oldest troops in Middle Tennessee, Troop 11 celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2014. We have been continually chartered in the same location - Christ the King Church on Belmont Boulevard in Nashville, Tn since the beginning.
We meet on Tuesday nights in the CTK cafeteria at 7PM each week from August through May, though Troop 11 typically offers 3 summer events, inluding our annual week of Boy Scout camp at nearby Boxwell Reservation.
Troop 11 plans a weekend outing each month - often camping and hiking. In addition to outdoor trips there are annual events such as February's Climb Nashville "lock-in", Troop 11's visit to the Nashville Sounds and summer bowling. Every other year a HIGH ADVENTURE trip is offered to boys age 14 and up who have attained rank of First Class.
Troop 11 strives to be good stewards to the greater community and supports CTK's chapter of the Knights of Columbus annual Mer-Ci Homes Christmas party, service projects around the CTK campus and required Eagle Scout projects.
Many of our Scouts participate in Order of the Arrow (Scouting's National Honor Society) and have become Eagle Scouts (the highest rank advancement in Scouting).
