About Troop 11
As one of the oldest troops in Middle Tennessee, Troop 11 celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2014. We have been continually chartered in the same location - Christ the King Church on Belmont Boulevard in Nashville, Tn since the beginning. We meet on Tuesday nights in the CTK cafeteria at 7PM each week from August through May. Each June marks our annual week of Boy Scout camp at nearby Boxwell Reservation. In July, those who are able meet for fun activities such as Nashville Sounds baseball. Summer of 2014, boys ranked First Class and above were eligible for a week of hiking the Appalachian Trail and rafting.
Troop 11 plans a weekend outing each month - often filled with camping and hiking. In addition to outdoor trips there are annual events such as January's Climb Nashville "lock-in". Troop 11 strives to be good stewards to the greater community and supports CTK's chapter of the Knights of Columbus annual Mer-Ci Homes Christmas party as well as service projects around the CTK campus.
Many of our Scouts participate in Order of the Arrow (Scouting's National Honor Society) and many have become Eagle Scouts (the highest rank advancement in Scouting).
